Couples Mini-Retreat: Get It Together - Before We Get Together
Get It Together Before We Get Together
A 3-Hour Virtual Holiday Mini-Retreat for Real-Life Couples
The holidays are coming.
Which means food. Traditions. Travel. Gifts. Family. Children who are somehow both overstimulated and bored.
And approximately 700 tiny decisions that somebody has to make.
The holidays can be wonderful. They can also put an impressive amount of pressure on a relationship.
Whose family are we seeing? How long are we staying? How much are we spending? Are we exchanging gifts with your siblings? Why did you tell your mother we'd be there at noon without asking me? Who remembered the teacher gifts? And how did I somehow become the person responsible for remembering every single thing?
Get It Together Before We Get Together is a three-hour virtual mini-retreat designed to help couples get on the same page before the holiday chaos begins.
Because underneath a lot of holiday stress aren't actually problems with Christmas.
There are expectations nobody said out loud. Mental loads that don't feel particularly shared. Family dynamics we've been carrying for decades. Different ideas about money, traditions, gifts and what makes the holidays “special.” And two people who can very quickly forget they're supposed to be on the same team.
So before everybody gets together, we're going to get you two together.
During our three hours, we'll tackle:
🎄 “But We've Always Done It This Way.”
Traditions, expectations and figuring out what your family actually wants the holidays to look like.
🧠 “How Did I Become the Holiday Project Manager?”
Mental load, invisible labor and everything involved in making the magic happen.
🏠 “Okay, But Your Family…”
In-laws, extended-family dynamics, competing invitations, boundaries and staying a team when everybody has an opinion.
💳 “Wait. You Spent HOW MUCH?”
Gifts, budgets, generosity and getting on the same page about holiday spending.
💬 “I Thought You Knew.”
Unspoken expectations, disappointment, resentment and asking for what you actually need.
❤️ “Oh Yeah. Us.”
Protecting your connection when December becomes one giant to-do list.
You'll have guided conversations throughout the retreat, but the important stuff stays between you and your partner.
No telling strangers about your mother-in-law.
No forced group processing.
No expectation that you will emerge with matching Christmas pajamas and a color-coded holiday binder.
Instead, you'll leave with your own Holiday Huddle Plan: what matters to you this year, what you're letting go of, your boundaries, your budget, how you're dividing the work, what each of you needs—and how you're going to protect us in the middle of everything else.
The goal isn't a perfect holiday.
It's getting to January and thinking:
“That was a lot. But we did it together.”
